Korean Middle School, Badminton, and Hongdae

Korean Middle School
We were able to visit and tour a Korean middle thanks to Gopal, one of the nsliyians who had a host mom that is a teacher! It was a cool to see what their school was like~ We discussed many of the differences between Korea and America with the teachers. It was interesting to hear what the teachers thought of the education system in America. There are definitely some misconceptions (for example, one of the teachers thought we were all given ipads at all our schools), just as we may have misconceptions about their education system. We all had a good time while we were there. However, most of us wished that we had been able to talk and interact more with the students!

Badminton
A few of us went to find badminton after school. It was fun! Well fun watching them play. hehe I am too uncoordinated for badminton~ It is pretty funny because there were only 2 rackets, so Kevin resorted to playing with his shoe and also a fan as his racket!! There also was not a net...so at one point, Kevin put his fingers beneath his eyes to decide if the birdie had not gone over the "net". t was a fun time! We wanted to find some good food, but we ended up at a blood sausage place... BUT it wasn't as bad as we thought it would be~

Hongdae
I was able to experience some of the awesome street performers in hongdae! There were so many good singers, dancers, rappers, and even artists as you walked through the streets~ We ate the Zoo Cafe and had waffles with ice cream. They were good^^ (but I do remember that we were really confused when ordering because the guy wanted us to sit down before ordering>.<)
